Garth Brooks Celebrates 25th Anniversary of ‘Friends in Low Places’ With Target
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Garth Brooks’ classic, “Friends in Low Places,” the music legend recorded a version of the song with all-star friends like Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and George Strait. The song is available exclusively as part of Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Collection, the Target-exclusive 10-disc boxed set featuring Brooks’ new studio album and nine discs of curated music from his celebrated catalog.
The artist strums the first 60 seconds of his 1990 hit on a recognizable red-and-white, Target-branded guitar in the company’s new commercial.
The release of Target’s exclusive box set is timely: Brooks made history this year by becoming the only artist in the world to ever receive seven Diamond Awards. The 121-song boxed set will be available at Target on November 11th, two weeks prior to the studio album’s national standalone street date.
