Foster the People Kids go wild in ‘Helena Beat’

L.A. trio follows up smash hit ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ with new video

The Los Angeles trio Foster the People have had an amazing year so far, with their song "Pumped Up Kicks" emerging as one of the summer's biggest pop hits. Instead of riding that song out through the fall, the band is striking while the iron is hot with "Helena Beat," a follow up single that has a similar blend of peppy dance beats, sunny harmonies and psychedelic ambiance. The music video for the song, which was directed by Ace Norton, presents a strange alternate world in which kids have taken over the world and brutalize adults with sporting goods, fire and electrical shocks.
