Florence and the Machine ‘Dog Days Are Over’ on ‘Colbert’

British band performs ‘Dog Days Are Over’

Stephen Colbert continued his StePhest Colbchella '011 week of musical guests on The Colbert Report last night with British pop band Florence and the Machine, who played a delicate, joyful rendition of their hit song "Dog Days Are Over." Before the performance, singer Florence Welch explained to the host that she was discovered by her manager when she was drunkenly singing in a rest room at a club in London. "Every time I drink and go sing in a girls bathroom, I get in trouble," Colbert says with mock incredulity. "Why is it different for you?"
