See Flatbush Zombies Perform With USC Marching Band on ‘Corden’

Brooklyn rap trio recruit Spirit of Troy for electrifying rendition of Vacation in Hell‘s “Headstone”

Flatbush Zombies recruited the University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band for a brassy, electrifying rendition of “Headstone” during the Brooklyn rap trio’s visit to The Late Late Show.

Making their first late-night appearance in three years, Flatbush Zombies revisited the first single off their 2018 album Vacation in Hell with help from the “Spirit of Troy” collegiate band that famously added horns and percussion to Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk” back in 1979. At the 3:30-mark of the performance, host James Corden is spotted dancing along at the side of the stage.

“Headstone” provides an origin story of sorts of Flatbush Zombies, who released Vacation in Hell in April 2018. “Been thugging from the cradle to the grave/Now your favorite rapper name on a headstone/Too late, he already dead,” the trio’s Meechy Darko says on the track.

Flatbush Zombies will hit the road this summer as part of a collective dubbed Beast Coast, which pairs the trio with Joey Bada$$. The tandem will perform both at Colorado’s Red Rocks on April 13th and New York’s Governors Ball on June 2nd.
