Fall Out Boy Announces ‘Boys of Zummer Tour: Live in Chicago’ Film

Fall Out Boy’s 2015 trek, the Boys of Zummer Tour featuring Wiz Khalifa, will be featured on DVD, blu-ray and digital platforms this fall. The Boys of Zummer Tour: Live in Chicago will be released on October 21st and captured the band’s homecoming show.
The film will highlight the career-spanning setlist and fiery staging of the rock band’s most recent tour, which was in support of their 2015 album American Beauty/American Psycho. For their return to the city where they formed, the band highlighted hits like “Sugar, We’re Going Down” and “Dance, Dance” off their breakthrough album From Under the Cork Tree as well as lesser-known early cuts like “Saturday” and newer tracks like “Uma Thurman” which featured an appearance from Khalifa.
Following their summer trek, Fall Out Boy embarked on a European tour in support of their sixth studio album. Last October, the band debuted a reworked and remixed version of American Beauty/American Psycho where rappers like Joey Bada$$, Black Thought, ILoveMakonnen, Azealia Banks, Migos and more remade songs from the album. The LP also featured the version of “Uma Thurman” featuring Wiz Khalifa that the band had premiered during their live tour. Separately, their song “Irresistible” was remade as a duet with Demi Lovato.
Earlier this year, the band remade Ray Parker Jr.’s theme for the original Ghostbusters film with Missy Elliott, which appeared in this year’s reboot. The film’s soundtrack also featured contributions from Zayn Malik, 5 Seconds of Summer, G-Eazy and Pentatonix.
