Faith No More Debut Two New Songs at British Summer Time Festival

Band makes good on hint that it was ‘time to get a little creative’

It’s been 17 years since Faith No More released their last record, Album of the Year, but the band hasn’t exactly been dormant in the years since. After playing sporadic shows over the past few years following their June 2009 reunion, singer Mike Patton recently hinted over Twitter that the group was about to take the next step. “The reunion thing was fun, but now it’s time to get a little creative,” he wrote.

The fruits of those endeavors were on display Friday night as Faith No More took the flower-strewn stage at London’s Hyde Park for the British Summer Time Festival, dressed as priests. They debuted two hard and heavy new songs toward the end of their 14-song set before closing with “We Care a Lot,” as Stereogum reports.

Friday night’s bill also included headliners Black Sabbath and Soundgarden. On Saturday night, Faith No More will headline at Poland’s Open’er Festival.
