Eve Rocking With Dre
This summer, Eve went from wrapping Barbershop 2 to the
set of her new sitcom, Eve, on to the launch of her
clothing line, Fetish, and then to the studio with Dr. Dre to start
work on her fourth album. “Everything happened at once,” she says.
“But I’m having the best time.”
The new set will be the follow-up to 2002’s Eve-olution
and the third album on which she’s worked with Dre, who’s executive
producing. “He brings the best out of me,” Eve says. “I want to go
in and experiment and really have fun.”
Experimenting could lead the two in a new direction. “It will
still be hip-hop but probably more rock,” Eve says. “Kind of fusing
both of them together and just doing a different kind of
music.”
Eventually, Eve says, she wants to get a live band, “come up
with songs and sit around and come up with the right melodies and
chords. I would love to do that.”
Eve will take a break from recording this month to shoot new
episodes of her sitcom. Information on how to obtain free tickets
for a taping can be found at evefansonly.com.
