Eminem to Sit for Fan Q&A on SiriusXM

SiriusXM announced today that Eminem will sit for a Q&A with select fans as part of the satellite radio station’s “Town Hall” series. It will air on SiriusXM’s Eminem-branded Shade 45 channel at noon on November 5th – the same day the rapper’s eighth album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, comes out.
Coincidentally, the fifth single from MMLP2, the Rihanna-featuring track “The Monster,” will premiere on Shade 45 today at 4:45 pm.

The discussion will be moderated by Sway Calloway, who hosts the show Sway in the Morning. The station’s chief content officer, Scott Greenstein, promised in a press release that the discussion will be “candid, real and utterly fascinating.” The Q&A session will take place on November 4th and be available after the broadcast on SiriusXM On Demand.
Eminem recently told Rolling Stone that he didn’t take things lightly when he named his new album with a reference to his similarly titled LP of 2000. “Calling it The Marshall Mathers LP 2, obviously I knew that there might be certain expectations,” he said. “I wouldn’t want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs – and just when you think you got it, you listen and you’re like, ‘Fuck, man! I feel like it needs this or that’ to paint the whole picture.” He also clarified that the album is “not necessarily a sequel as much as it is a revisitation.” He explained, “There’s not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it’s more about the vibe, and it’s more about the nostalgia.”
