Eminem Selling Childhood Home’s Bricks, Wood as Collectibles

Eminem is selling rare, limited-edition collectible items in honor of the 16th anniversary of Marshall Mathers LP, including parts of his childhood home. All the items are available at his official site.

For the special sale, the Detroit MC is making pieces of the home available to fans. Seven hundred bricks from the house featured on the covers of both The Marshall Mathers LP and The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will be released, and each will include a numbered Certificate of Authority, Eminem’s signature and a display stand with a commemorative plaque. A cassette re-release of the 2000 album with a 3-D motion-printed cover and dog tags crafted from repurposed wood rescued from the remains of Eminem’s childhood home will also be available.

The rapper’s childhood home was demolished the same month MMLP2 was released in 2013 after being deemed structurally unsound. Eminem’s team rescued the wood and bricks from this small sale.

The Marshall Mathers revisitation is Eminem’s most recent release, though he has made numerous guest appearances over the past three years. Last year, both Eminem and Nicki Minaj created their own remixes for the Weeknd’s “The Hills.” He also made an appearance on Yelawolf’s single “Best Friend,” which was released on Yelawolf’s album Love Story.

Eminem’s only releases as a lead artist last year included a pair of contributions to the soundtrack for boxing drama Southpaw. This past March, he headlined Lollapalooza Brazil where he performed his Weeknd remix as well as the first live performance of his 2005 track “Fack.”
