EMI Releases Bowie Classics

On Oct. 7, EMI-Capitol Entertainment Properties
released a limited special edition David Bowie
hits package. With this release, Bowie is just one of the four
artists taking part in the label’s “Essential” albums series.

Fans of Bowie, who is currently on tour in America, must pick up
David Bowie – Best Of 1969-1974. This collection of 20
hits highlights Bowie’s energetic early years when he first
launched onto the music scene and introduced the world to his alter
ego Ziggy Stardust.

The compilation includes Bowie favorites “All The Young Dudes,”
“Space Oddity,” “Ziggy Stardust” and “Suffragette City” along with
a cover of the Rolling Stones “Let’s Spend The
Night Together.” In addition, the album highlights 16 other songs
including many b-sides and previously unreleased stereo versions.
