A Swedish woman who has been claiming for more than two decades that she is the true daughter of Elvis Presley has filed a lawsuit against the late singer’s estate asking for over $130 million in damages for defamation and infliction of emotional distress.

Lisa Johansen also published a memoir titled I, Lisa Marie: The True Story of Elvis Presley’s Real Daughter in 1998. The book was notorious at the time but lost steam in the press when Johansen reportedly refused to take a DNA test to prove her relation to Presley. This led her publisher to sue her for $50 million for damaging potential sales of the book. According to documents submitted for this current case, Johansen claims to have taken a DNA test with London authorities last year.

Nevertheless, Johansen continues to pursue charges of identity theft against Lisa Marie Presley. She filed a lawsuit in response to a warning letter on behalf of the Presley estate claiming that her “malicious false claims and offensive wrongful conduct” would no longer be tolerated.
