Odd Future MC gets introspective in new video

It's true that the Odd Future crew is known for their antics and standoffish lyrics, but Earl Sweatshirt takes an introspective turn in the new video for "Chum," floating into the ether as he raps about being "too black for the white kids / too white for the blacks" over a stoned, meandering piano figure. Sweatshirt finds mutant frogs and skull-faced dogs, and the only other human in his sphere is a faceless drummer in a skeleton hoodie. It's not growing up, it's growing wise.
