A top medical specialist delivered damaging testimony at the trial of Michael Jackson's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, yesterday. Dr. Steven Shafer, an expert on the drug propofol, said that the defense's theory that Jackson self-injected a lethal dose of the sedative is a "crazy scenario." "People don't wake up hellbent to give themselves another dose," he told the jury.

Shafer also insisted that Murray did not properly control the flow of the anesthetic into the singer's body. "He is responsible for every drop of propofol in that room," Shafer said.

Dr. Shafer is the final witness called by prosecutors. He is expected to be cross-examined by the defense today before they begin calling their own witnesses to the stand.
