The Strokes Announce Album Release Date
The release date for The Strokes‘ still-untitled fourth album has been confirmed as March 22nd. This is the same date that was previously rumored based on a leaked memo from the band’s record label. [Pitchfork]

Lady Gaga Previews New Music In Paris
Lady Gaga announced in a tweet that she will be previewing material from her upcoming album Born This Way — albeit in a remixed form — at a Fashion Week event in Paris tomorrow. She didn’t say which song will be featured, but it will be included as part of show by designer Thierry Mugler. [Idolator]

‘Glee,’ Trent Reznor, Diane Warren Win at Golden Globes
There were no big surprises in the music categories at the Golden Globes on Sunday. As expected, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won Best Original Score for the Social Network and Glee won Best Series, Musical Or Comedy for a second year. Slighly more surprising was Diane Warren’s win for Best Original Song with the Cher ballad “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” from the widely panned film Burlesque. [Idolator]

Blur Drummer Teases Another Reunion
Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has told Gigwise and the NME that Blur may reunite again this year, though no formal plans have been set. The group recorded a one-off single and performed a brief tour in 2009, but have been mostly defunct since they finished touring for their 2003 album Think Tank. [Guardian UK]

Kate Bush to Return with New Music This Year
A representative of the reclusive songwriter Kate Bush has confirmed rumors that the singer will release new music sometime in 2011. No further details were provided. Bush’s last full-length album was Aeriel, which came out in 2005. More recently she contributed a song to the soundtrack of the film The Golden Compass in 2007. [Guardian UK]
