Juelz Santana Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges
Dipset rapper Juelz Santana was taken into custody by New Jersey police yesterday on four counts of narcotic and weapon offense. The charges are the result of a 10-month investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Gang Unit. This new legal issue may derail Santana’s plans to be involved with further Dipset reunion plans in 2011. [Rap Radar]
Ex-Paramore Guitarist Has New Band
Former Paramore guitarist Josh Farro has announced that he started a new band called Novel American. Farro, who quit Paramore last year after alleging that the group was manufactured by their record label, says that his new band is mostly inspired by Jimmy Eat World, Radiohead and Explosions in the Sky. Blur Bassist Hosts Food and Music Festival
Blur bassist Alex James will host the Harvest festival, which will feature music by KT Tunstall as well as a farmer’s market, gardening workshops and cooking classes, on his estate in rural England on September 9-12. James has become a farmer and cheese-maker since Blur became mostly defunct in 2003. [BBC]
