Katy Perry has announced the details of her California Dreams summer tour. The singer has scheduled 38 dates thus far, beginning with a concert on June 7th in Atlanta. The North American leg of the tour will feature the Swedish pop star Robyn and the Welsh group Marina and the Diamonds as opening acts. [Billboard]

Will Smith Wants to Remake ‘Annie’ With Daughter and Jay-Z
According to Variety, Will Smith is in talks with Sony to produce a remake of the musical Annie with his daughter, nascent pop star Willow Smith, in the lead role. Jay-Z, who scored a hit with “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)” sampling the musical, is attached to collaborate on the music. [Variety]

Iggy Pop Drummer Killed in Hit-and-Run
Alex Kirst, the drummer for Iggy Pop and the glam rock band the Nymphs, was killed in a hit-and-run car crash in the California desert. Kirst, who was 47, was struck down while walking along Date Palm Road in Cathedral City, California. [Billboard]
