According to DJ Premier, hip-hop pioneer DJ Kool Herc is hospitalized with a serious illness and is need of financial assistance in paying off his medical bills. Premier did not get into the specifics of Herc’s condition but he did provide a post office box address for fans to send donations to the ailing rap icon. [Village Voice]

Kings of Leon Cancel Tour Dates
Kings of Leon have been forced to cancel all of their tour dates scheduled for March while drummer Nathan Followill recovers from surgery for a torn bicep. The group’s next scheduled show will be at the Coachella Festival on April 15th. [Spinner]
