Daft Punk’s ‘Tron’ Score Gets Remixed
Tron: Legacy R3CONFIGUR3D, a collection of remixes of Daft Punk‘s score for last year’s Tron sequel, will be in stores on April 5th. The collection will include remixes by Moby, Paul Oakenfold, the Crystal Method, Photek and M83 vs. Big Black Delta. A limited edition box set version of the set will also include a bonus digital EP and a copy of the film on DVD or Blu-Ray. [Pitchfork]

Elton John Documentary to Open Tribeca Film Festival
The 2011 Tribeca Film Festival will open with a free outdoor screening of The Union, Cameron Crowe’s documentary about Elton John‘s collaboration with Leon Russell. The screening will take place on April 20th at Manhattan’s World Financial Plaza. John will also perform at the screening. [EW.com]

Levon Helm, Thurston Moore, Syl Johnson Join Wilco Festival
Wilco has announced the lineup for their Solid Sound Festival, which will take place on June 24-26th in North Adams, Massachusetts. This year’s bill include performances by Thurston Moore, Syl Johnson, Levon Helm, the Handsome Family, Here We Go Magic and of course, Wilco. The festival will also feature comedy sets by John Hodgman, Eugene Murphy and Wyatt Cenac. [Pitchfork]

Annie Lennox to Receive Humanitarian Award
Annie Lennox will receive the Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award at the 2011 NARM Convention Awards Dinner on May 12th. Lennox is being recognized by the organization for her work on behalf of raising awareness for HIV/AIDS, as well as other health, human rights and environmental causes. [Press release]

Justin Bieber Raises $40K By Selling His Hair
Justin Bieber has raised $40,688 by selling locks of his hair on eBay. The money will go to the Gentle Barn Foundation, an animal-rescue organization supported by Ellen DeGeneres. The winner of the auction will meet Bieber on a future episode of DeGeneres’ tv show. [Vulture]
