Last night, they previewed their grueling upcoming 43-date trek with Heart by performing "Pour Some Sugar on Me" on The Tonight Show.
Five years ago, we spoke to Joe Elliott, and he expressed his supreme annoyance over journalists consistently saying the group is either hair metal or part of the new wave of British heavy metal. "Some journalist lumped us in there and we can’t shake it off," he said. "It’s like a virus that won’t go away, like fuckin’ herpes or something, we can’t shake it off. We belong in the same kind of category as Van Halen. It’s just rock."
