Crow, Sheryl Crow Debuts At No. 11

Sheryl Crow’s “Tomorrow Never Dies”
(the title song for the new James Bond movie)
makes its debut on the British singles chart at No. 11.

Oddly, in the land of his birth, Bond has never had a No. 1
theme song. The most successful 007 song in both the U.S. and the
U.K. is Duran Duran’s “A View To A Kill,” No. 1 in
the States and No. 2 in Britain.

As for Crow’s turn at warbling a Bond tune, she may not be the
only artist with a chart hit from the latest film in the
long-running series-or the only artist with a song that features
the lyric “tomorrow never dies.” Listen for the superior track from
the soundtrack, k.d. lang’s “Surrender.” Now
that’s a Bond theme!
