Courtney Love was arrested in Los Angeles yesterday on suspicion of
being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Love smashed several windows at a friend's Wilshire-area home
prompting neighbors to call police, according to the Los
Angeles Times. She was booked under the name Courtney Michelle
Cobain and released on $2,500 bail at 5:30 a.m. yesterday.
Shortly after her release, Love made an emergency call and was
taken by paramedics to Century City Hospital and treated for a
possible overdose. She was released yesterday afternoon.
Love has been working on her debut solo album, America's
Sweetheart. The record was initially scheduled for an October
28th release, but was recently pushed back to February 2004. Love
also intended to tour this fall; no dates had been set and the
status of the tour is uncertain.
