Even though the release date for Coldplay‘s next album Ghost Stories is still three weeks away, the group has released two more tracks from the album, the thumping “A Sky Full of Stars” – which the group cowrote with EDM artist Avicii – and the more laid-back “Always in My Head.” The former, streaming below, begins with a throbbing piano line and later kicks into a dance-floor raver with Chris Martin singing about how he thought he saw his love in the stars. The latter is more innocuous with its ambient synth beds and Martin nearly whispering the chorus. That song premiered during Martin’s revealing interview with the BBC – and features interview snippets running over it; it’s streaming here.

“Our sound engineer makes synth sounds,” Martin said of the intro to “Always in My Head,” the first track on Ghost Stories.”And sometimes when I’m demoing before showing the rest of the band, he’ll show me some of the sounds he’s made, and this is one of them. Then, actually, my daughter [Apple] is singing in there a little bit as well. That was just a sort of idea of togetherness through life’s challenges.”

The band has previously released the tracks “Oceans,” “Magic” and “Midnight,” the latter two of which was made into a magic-themed video and got some magic reworking from dance-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder, respectively. Ghost Stories is due out May 19th.
