Jimmy Kimmel Live broadcast two songs from a Coldplay gig at UCLA’s Los Angeles Tennis Center last night, including “Charlie Brown,” a cut that’s set to appear on the band’s fifth album. As of yet, no title or release date has been announced for the record, but given how aggressively the band have been promoting their new material, it can’t be too far off. “Charlie Brown” is an especially promising tune that plays to the band’s strengths as earnest, uplifting arena rockers while playing up frontman Chris Martin’s self-deprecating sense of humor.
