It’s always a good sign when the boss wants to work with you: “The two guys from Kry Wolf are from Portsmouth, England, and the track came in as a demo to me that I re-worked several times and played all summer with a great response from the crowd,” says producer and Dirtybird Records head Claude VonStroke of “Turbosteppa,” the song in question. “I ended up calling Kry Wolf and asking if they wanted to do an official version of it together as a release on my label Dirtybird.” More than six versions of the track have been showing up in Kry Wolf’s and VonStroke’s sets lately, and now you can get an exclusive first listen to the final cut – a sparse house thumper laced cut up vocal samples and subtle wubby bass lines.
