Chris Brown Insists “I Ain’t A Monster,” Names New LP In Video

Chris Brown has broken his silence for the first time in months by appearing on a live broadcast on Bow Wow’s JustinTV video page, telling fans he “ain’t a monster” and calling blogs “liars.” The clip appears to have aired late last night, as Bow Wow makes reference to yesterday’s Orlando Magic overtime victory. Brown, who has watched his words carefully since his alleged February 8th altercation with Rihanna — his only public statement was to say he was “sorry and saddened” — steps in front of the camera during a friendly bowling match and makes some controversial statements directly to his fans.

“All the blog sites are liars. You guys lie. No black eye,” Brown said, referring to rumors that Jay-Z or a member of Rihanna’s entourage had given him a black eye in retaliation for the alleged assault. (Brown, with what looks like a small welt under his right eye, sat courtside next to Usher at last night’s Orlando Magic game.) In the video, Bow Wow alerts viewers that Brown is working on a “crazy” new album, and Brown provides some more details, saying “New album, gonna be coming soon, we’re working on it right now. It’s called Graffiti. Got everything on it, y’all be ready for that. I’m about to drop a single this summer for y’all, so we ain’t going nowhere.”

But Brown literally may be going nowhere: After being charged with two felony counts following the Rihanna incident (Brown pleaded not guilty to both), radio and television still haven’t lifted their embargo on Brown’s music, so any single Brown releases might be doomed from the start unless his legal dilemma reaches a swift resolution. Brown’s next court date is scheduled for tomorrow.

“Everybody’s that’s haters, they’ve been haters. All my real fans, I love y’all. I ain’t a monster,” Brown adds. The video ends with Brown throwing a strike.
