Chris Brown Crashes Car in Alleged Paparazzi Chase

Chris Brown crashed his car into a wall on Saturday afternoon, the Los Angeles Times reports. The singer told Beverly Hills police that he lost control of his black Porsche while being chased by paparazzi. 

According to CNN, Brown was driving to a charity event for the Symphonic Love Foundation when he was cut off by photographers in two vehicles. “The occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle,” a representative for Brown said. “In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point his was cut off by two additional vehicles.”

Although it is unclear whether any passengers were riding in Brown’s car at the time, Beverly Hills police say that no one was injured in the crash. Brown’s car was damaged and had to be towed from the scene. 

The collision comes at the end of a tough week for Brown, who has been busy with court hearings to determine whether he has complied with the terms of his probation for assaulting Rihanna just before the Grammys in 2009. At tonight’s Grammy Awards, Brown is up for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
