Charli XCX and Troye Sivan will co-curate and co-host the first annual Go West Fest, which will take place June 6th at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. The festival, part of LA’s Pride celebrations, will feature a lineup a lineup of LGBTQ+ artists and allies, including Pussy Riot, Dorian Electra, Quay Dash, Leland and Allie X. The event will donate a portion of the proceeds to GLAAD.
“Been working on this for months and I’m soooooo stoked to share this with you,” Sivan wrote on Instagram. “A new kind of pride festival curated by me n @charli_xcx that celebrates the inclusivity, artistry, music, kinks, merchants, and creativity of the LGBTQ community, while really giving back to our community… Whole thing benefits GLAAD and local organisations. Everyone’s welcome.”
Sivan and Charli XCX previously teamed up last year for a joint single called “1999.” She also has a new collaboration with Lizzo due out this week, writing on Twitter, “I’m so happy I get to collab with so many inspiring & iconic artists!!!”
Tickets for Go West Fest, named for the 1979 Village People track “Go West,” go on sale Friday May 17th at 10 a.m. PST via Live Nation.
