Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff Will ‘Do America’ on Joint Summer Tour

Charli XCX and Bleachers‘ Jack Antonoff are bringing their inventive, colorful pop across America in a co-headlining jaunt dubbed the Charli and Jack Do America Tour. The duo announced the summer run with a fun announcement video featuring the pair discussing Antonoff’s phobia of getting sick on the road before Charli reveals that she has strep throat.
“I love Charli,” Antonoff said in a statement about the tour, which will also feature newcomer BØRNS as opener. “I love what she does with pop music, how she makes it bizarre. The two of us do totally different things but occupy a similar space — that’s what I loved about the idea to tour together. It makes sense in fact that it doesn’t make sense.”
The pair previously appeared together on Complex’s In-Ride Sessions: Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff Trade Remixes. In the clip, Antonoff covered Charli XCX’s hit “Break the Rules” before she took a crack at Bleachers’ “Rollercoaster.”
Charli recently appeared at the MTV Movie Awards, where she gave a cartoonishly fun performance of her new single “Famous” followed by a live taste of her collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign and Tinashe titled “Drop That Kitty.”
While Antonoff keeps busy with Bleachers, his primary band fun. recently reassured fans that they are not broken up, though a follow-up to Some Nights will not be in the works anytime soon as all the members pursue their own projects.
