Bruce Springsteen World Tour Extending Into 2014?

UPDATE: Bruce Springsteen confirms 2014 tour dates.
Bruce Springsteen’s world tour might not be ending as soon as we thought. Last week, he announced that his four-city South American tour in September would be his “Final 2013 Wrecking Ball dates.” But Australian radio station Triple M just posted six new dates in that country for February 2014. The post was quickly taken down, but a Springsteen fan site captured screen images.

Nothing is confirmed right now, but according to the site the tour kicks off February 7th in Perth and wraps February 26th in Brisbane. Tickets go on sale August 26th. An image posted by the radio station includes text reading, “Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band Back in 2014! Due to massive public demand.”
A representative for Springsteen did not return an immediate request for comment.
Springsteen & The E Street Band toured Australia in March and played to capacity crowds all across the country. Steve Van Zandt was unable to make the trek due to his television commitments, so Tom Morello took his place in the band.
It’s unclear if the 2014 tour will extend beyond Australia. Springsteen hasn’t played a single American concert since 2012.
It’s also unclear if Springsteen plans on releasing a new album next year, though he did recently tell Rolling Stone that he cut new songs while in Australia. “We’ve never had a recording session during a tour in our lives,” he said. “We did a couple of things that I wanted to put down. So that was very exciting. And being with Tommy was exciting. The band – Steven, Nils, all those guys – continues to be a source of inspiration for me.”
