Though Broadcast vocalist Trish Keenan died in January, her former bandmate, James Cargill, is working on new album that will include vocals recorded before her death. Keenan died from complications of pneumonia brought on by the H1N1 flu.
"Trish left a lot of tapes, four-tracks and stuff, and I've been going through those," Cargill tells Under the Radar. "It's difficult, and I'm connected to it at the same time. It's wonderful, but I'm also feeling a sense of loss." Cargill notes that while some of the tracks were works in progress for what was intended to be Broadcast's next record, some of the tapes were sketches for the psychedelic electronic group's 2003 album Haha Sound.

In addition to working with Keenan's unfinished demos, Cargill is also in the process of creating the soundtrack to the Peter Strickland film Berberian Sound Studio, which he began working on with Keenan before her death.
