Britney Spears made half a million dollars from the product placement in her music video for “Hold It Against Me,” according to TMZ. Among the products featured in the clip are various Sony televisions and monitors, Make Up Forever eye shadow, Spears’ own Radiance perfume and the dating website Plenty of Fish.
It’s worth noting that “Hold It Against Me” director Jonas Åkerlund also made the music video for Lady Gaga‘s “Telephone,” which also featured a great deal of conspicuous product placement including a nod to Plenty of Fish.
In other Britney news, producer Dr. Luke has put a few brief teasers of his tracks from Spears’ new album Femme Fatale on his SoundCloud page. The clips go by a bit too quickly to get a solid impression of the songs, but it sounds like we’re in for some intense dance pop.
