Britney Spears Announces New LP ‘Glory’ on Apple Music
Britney Spears announced on Twitter Wednesday that Glory, the pop singer’s first album since 2013’s Britney Jean, will arrive on August 26th on Apple Music. “#Glory. My new album & the beginning of a new era,” the singer tweeted along with the album’s cover.
Fans who preorder the new album on iTunes starting at midnight EST will receive an instant download of “Private Show,” which the singer previously previewed in the commercial for her fragrance of the same name.
Spears didn’t offer any other details regarding her new LP, but it’s expected to also house “Make Me,” her slinky new single with rapper G-Eazy. More news should arrive following Spears’ Wednesday night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where the singer will discuss Glory as well as prank the host with an elaborate surprise wake-up call:

(Rihanna previously pulled a similar prank on Kimmel.)
“It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time. I’m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it’s not what you would think at all,” Spears told V of her new album in March.
G-Eazy spoke to Rolling Stone about how the Bay Area rapper wound up on Spears’ new single. “I was actually on tour in Australia. After the first leg in the U.S. and we got that email that was like, ‘Britney Spears wants to do a song.’ I didn’t know if it was gonna be the single or what,” the rapper said. “It was just a no-brainer. I think we were in Melbourne, and I was like, ‘Yo, let’s see if there are any studios open here.’ And literally after the show we went and cut it on the spot. That kind of thing you just drop whatever you’re doing to do.”
