Brian Wilson has quietly signed a
deal with Irving Azoff's Revolution Records and is
at work on a new solo album, tentatively due in the spring.
Joe Thomas, who co-produced the 1996
Beach Boys tribute album Stars &
Stripes, is producing the album at Wilson's home studio,
located 65 miles west of Chicago. Azoff says Wilson's new material
"sounds unbelievable." Thomas is also enthused: "Brian is sounding
better than ever" and is handling all of the lead and background
vocals on the album himself. So far, 18-20 tracks have been
recorded, Thomas says.
