Bowie To The Rescue

David Bowie made history yet again Tuesday when he
became the first artist to appear on MTV’s new
live concert program “Live From The 10 Spot.”

The Thin White Duke saved the day when the show’s original
guests, the Rolling Stones, had to cancel at the
last minute due to illness. The Stones were scheduled to perform
for the cameras at a small venue in Port Chester, N.Y., but
announced Monday that Mick Jagger was suffering
from a sore throat and the group would be unable to play.

While there is no word yet on whether the Stones will be able to
reschedule, confirmed groups for upcoming “10 Spot” programs
include Jane’s Addiction, Counting Crows and Radiohead.
