Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are hitting the road to support their new album Ride Out, which lands in stores and online on October 14th. The tour begins November 19th in Saginaw, Michigan and wraps up February 27th, 2015 in Los Angeles. The J. Geils Band are opening on select dates. Tickets go on sale Saturday, October 4th, though Bob Seger fan club members will have access to pre-sales.

Ride Out is Seger’s first album since 2006’s Face The Promise. The first single was a cover of John Hiatt‘s “Detroit Made,” and the disc also contains Seger’s take on “California Stars” by Wilco and Billy Bragg. There are also numerous Seger originals, including “Gates of Eden,” “You Take Me In” and “All of the Roads,” which he debuted on the road in 2013.

Seger stepped away from the public eye to raise his children following a tour in support of his 1995 LP It’s a Mystery. He reemerged 11 years later with a new album and tour, and had toured semi-regularly ever since.

His stage show tends to center around his large catalog of hits, including “We’ve Got Tonight,” “Turn The Page,” “Night Moves” and “Against The Wind,” though he’ll almost certainly mix in tracks from the new album this time out. Seger turns 70 next year, and even though he talked to Rolling Stone in 2011 about winding down his career, this new batch of dates represents his most extensive tour since 2006/2007.
