Blur Talk Onstage Chemistry in ‘New World Towers’ Documentary Clip
Blur’s surprise 2015 reunion LP The Magic Whip will be the subject of the upcoming documentary New World Towers, and on Wednesday, the band shared another preview from the film. In addition to the Magic Whip recording sessions, New World Towers revolves around a pair of Blur gigs – at London’s Hyde Park and a Hong Kong show – and in the latest clip, Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn talk about what it was like to be onstage together again.
“All of us become Blur when we are onstage. We leave ourselves at the side of the stage, and return back into ourselves when we leave the stage,” Albarn says. “While we are onstage, we are Blur. We are Blur.”
The Sam Wrench-directed New World Towers will screen for one night only in British cinemas on December 2nd. Check out participating theaters at the Blur site. An international release is also planned with more details to follow.
