Björk has announced a new Vulnicura live album box set release, following the limited edition version that was available during her 2015 tour. The new set, which includes photos and a stunning paper mask, will be available in the fall.
The Icelandic singer described the new version on her website as the “Vulnicura Live Mask Edition.” Indeed, it does include a mask. The “actual exclusive 3D low polygon Björk moth paper mask” is modeled after an original James Merry design and was conceived in collaboration with Wintercroft. The set will also include photos, the artist’s favorite live performances from her 2015 tour with selections from her previous works and the original album as a double LP with gatefold sleeve. The package also includes CD and 320kbps MP3 versions. “This box set aims to bring you the complete Vulnicura live experience: audio, visual and tactile,” the post’s description reads. The mask comes in pieces with instructions on how to build it.
Björk recently launched a virtual reality exhibition. The Björk Digital exhibit premiered in Sydney, Australia earlier this month. It heads to Japan from June 29th through July 18th.
