Bishop Nehru and Aaron LaCrate Talk Hip-Hop Violence in ‘Appalled’ – Song Premiere

At just 16, New York rapper Bishop Nehru is an impressive package: the young MC writes, performs and produces his own music and videos, yet he’s barely old enough to drive a car. For his new single “Appalled,” Nehru collaborated with Milkcrate Records founder, fashion designer and industry guru Aaron LaCrate. The pair dig up a laid-back R&B snippet, letting it loop in the background as Nehru rhymes about rapper-on-rapper violence.

Since releasing his first two mixtapes (his most recent, Strictly Flowz, is available as a free download), Nehru has garnered significant attention from the national hip-hop community, drawing comparisons to the distinctive New York styles of Joey Bada$$ and Action Bronson. He’ll join Wu-Tang Clan later this summer in London for two stops on their 20th anniversary tour.
