Best Coast Show Off Their Noisy Side at Bonnaroo

L.A. rockers play non-album cuts for festival crowd

Best Coast showed off their buzzy, noisy side at the Bonnaroo festival last night. In this video from the gig, the trio plays "Wish He Was You" and "Up All Night," two loud, summery non-album rockers. Singer and guitarist Bethany Cosentino leads the band with a low key charm, playing to the large audience with the relaxed, tossed-off confidence of someone jamming out in their practice space. Bassist Bobb Bruno adds a lightly groovy counterpoint to Cosentino's hazy, strummed chords while former Vivian Girls drummer Ali Koehler taps out a simple, mellow backbeat.
