L.A. indie rockers Best Coast are back with “This Lonely Morning” off their upcoming EP Fade Away. The boppy surf-rock tune explores the hours, days and countless other times spent waiting for a certain someone to call, and the inevitable haze that comes when they don’t.

The fast-paced track came organically to singer Bethany Cosentino, and ended up as a conduit for the new EP. “I wrote that song in literally five minutes, sitting in bed one morning, bored,” Cosentino tells Rolling Stone. “That song kickstarted the writing for this record.”
