Beastie Boy Scores His Father’s Off-Broadway Play

Ad-Rock will provide ‘original sound’ for ‘Gloucester Blue’

Beastie Boys emcee Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz is set to collaborate with his father, playwright Israel Horovitz, on a new off-Broadway play. The rapper will provide "original sound" for Gloucester Blue, a new work by his father that is scheduled to debut at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre in Manhattan on November 16th.

The play, a dark comedy about a man who returns home after a long absence to discover a variety of infidelities and murders, is part of the nine-week Stripped festival of works dealing with themes of sex, murder and revenge.
