Lambesis and his wife split last summer when the singer told Meggan in an e-mail that he no longer loved her or believed in God. She later learned that Lambesis was making regular visits to a girlfriend in Florida and had had other affairs. Lambesis is accused of trying to pay a hit man, who turned out to be an undercover police detective, $1,000 to kill Meggan.

The singer’s bond was originally $3 million, though a judge reduced it last week. Conditions of his bail require Lambesis to stay away from Meggan and their three adopted children. He must also surrender his passport and wear a GPS monitor.

As I Lay Dying had been scheduled to start a tour yesterday with Killswitch Engage, but announced online that the trip had been canceled.
