Are You Ready to “Party” With Jon Pardi?

There are plenty of talented young songwriters in Nashville, so suffice to say that it’s not an easy task standing out in Music City. That didn’t scare or intimidate rising star Jon Pardi, however, who says he came to the town to write some good ol’ raucous country.
The California native (he was raised in a city just a short distance from the state capitol) grew up listening to his grandma’s favorite classic country, and knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue music for a living, starting to play live when he was in college and eventually packing up and moving to Nashville with the mindset that he was going to make it just fine.
That he did, landing various opening slots for names such as Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan, and also securing a major label record deal. His debut album includes the party-ready anthem “Up All Night,” which he recently stopped by the Ram Country studios to perform.
But that’s not all he had up his sleeve. Pardi also related the time he was on tour with Justin Lynch and ran into one of his idols, David Lee Murphy. He told Murphy he’d always wanted to cover his 1995 hit “Party Crowd,” to which Murphy replied, “I think that’d be great!”
But you don’t have to take Murphy’s word for it. Here’s Pardi playing the cover right here, just for you!
Pardi is currently on tour through the Spring. You can keep up with his schedule here.
