Arcade Fire have announced the release date for their still-untitled new album, though they did it pretty covertly. The Canadian rock band responded to a fan on Twitter, unprompted, that they’ll release the follow up to 2010’s The Suburbs on October 29th.
In March, Arcade Fire connected with James Murphy at DFA Records’ New York studio to lay down tracks. “I think it’s going to be a really great record, actually,” Murphy told Rolling Stone. They’ve also had some good news outside of music: band members Win Butler and Regine Chassagne welcomed a baby boy – the couple’s first child – in April.
