Arcade Fire Announce North American Tour
Fresh off announcing their new album The Suburbs, Arcade Fire have revealed the first 13 dates of their first North American tour in three years. In addition to headlining festivals like Lollapalooza, Montreal’s Osheaga and the Ottawa Bluefest, Arcade Fire will be playing perhaps their biggest show yet: New York’s Madison Square Garden on August 4th. While the U.S. leg doesn’t kick off until August 1st in Boston, expect the band to unveil some new Suburbs material when they perform two shows next week (June 7-8th) at the Theater Granada in Sherbrooke, Ontario.
As an added bonus, Spoon will serve as the opening act for Arcade Fire’s Philadelphia, New York and Atlanta shows. Tickets for select dates are on sale now. As Rolling Stone previously reported, Arcade Fire will release their third album The Suburbs on August 4th and two new tracks from the album (“The Suburbs,” “Month of May”) are available now.
