Andrew the Pizza Guy Details Daft Punk Collaboration

New Funny or Die clip charts inspirational powers of one great pizza

Great art is fueled by passion, perspective and, of course, pizza – at least, according to Andrew the Pizza Guy, who details his extensive collaboration with Daft Punk in a new video from Funny or Die. Spoofing the recent video interviews with various actual Daft Punk collaborators including Nile RodgersGiorgio Moroder and Pharrell, the clip finds comedian Eugene Cordero playing Andrew the Pizza Guy, an employee at Padre’s Pizza in Scottsdale, Arizona (it’s next to the highway), who serves the robots “literally the biggest pizza we had.”

He continues, “It was like they captured everything that made pizza great in the Seventies, and then completely made it their own. But at the same time, y’know, this pizza is a modern masterpiece.” Those eight slices of glory were going to be Andrew’s contribution to the greatest record of all time; though it turns the two guys who smelled like cigarettes to whom he gave a $78 pie for free weren’t actually Daft Punk after all.
