Camden house where singer died had failed to sell in May
Amy Winehouse’s home in Camden Square, London, where the singer was found dead in July 2011, sold at auction for $3.2 million, the BBC reports.
Five bidders fought it out for the property, which failed to sell when the Winehouse family put it on the market in May for about $4.2 million. The house was unoccupied during that time.

“I think they are pleased that they have drawn a line under it,” said auctioneer Chris McHugh. “They did have it on the market but they didn’t get the result for them.” While McHugh added that the auction catalog did not state the house belonged to Winehouse, word had spread and attracted four serious bidders in the room and many more over the phone.
