Amy Winehouse‘s father, Mitch, will be putting out a new album of his own, But Beautiful, to raise money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, according to the BBC. The record will consist of songs that Amy helped her father pick out, as she had done for his debut album, Rush of Love, which came out before her death in 2011. The record will be released in England on September 29th via Amy’s Lioness imprint.

“This is still the album that Amy helped me make,” he said. “There were so many more songs that we could have done and here they are.”

The Amy Winehouse Foundation runs drug and alcohol support and education services, with Mitch starting the organization shortly after his daughter’s death by accidental alcohol poisoning.

“Even now, it’s very painful and emotional, but you just got to get on with it,” he said about the charity. “If we don’t, no one else will do what we do. We don’t have the luxury of thinking we can stop. It’s not sexy. It’s people struggling with drug addiction, it’s homeless kids’ people who don’t get the chance otherwise.”

Regarding his interest in making music, though, Mitch said he felt it brought him closer to his daughter spiritually. “I feel that when I’m on stage, Amy’s on stage,” he told the BBC. “She wouldn’t let a little thing like not being here stop her from jumping on stage.”
