Amy Winehouse’s Father Planning Tribute Show

Amy Winehouse’s father is planning a tribute show for the late singer in North London, the BBC reports. Mitch Winehouse will unveil a statue of his daughter on September 14th, 2014, in Camden. Winehouse lived in Camden before her death on July 23, 2011, when she was 27.
Mitch Winehouse hopes to turn the unveiling into a musical event. “We want to make it like a Live Aid-type concert where we get maybe four, five, six hours’ worth. People doing a couple of songs each,” said Mitch Winehouse, though he wouldn’t confirm any performers for the show. He also dismissed rumors regarding a film or musical based on Amy’s life, saying neither is happening.
