Alt-J Win Mercury Prize
Indie quartet takes home prestigious British music award

Alt-J have won the Mercury Prize for their album An Awesome Wave, The Guardian reports. The indie quartet beat out artists including Jessie Ware, Richard Hawley, Django Django, the Maccabees, Field Music and Plan B. Alt-J also won £20,000 (around $32,000) as part of the prize.
PJ Harvey won last year’s award for her album Let England Shake.
